EVER SINCE I STARTED TAKING HERBIVORE STUDIES COURSES AT THE LOCAL UNIVERSITY IT’S BECOME MORE AND MORE DIFFICULT TO ENJOY A WIDE RANGE OF WHAT I ALWAYS ASSUMED WERE NORMAL AND BENIGN ACTIVITIES. I’VE BEEN MADE TO REALIZE THE ENTIRE ECOSYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO OPPRESS AND MARGINALIZE ALL BUT A SELECT FEW CREATURES, AND EVEN MY ATTEMPTS TO OFFER POSSIBLE ALTERNATIVE EXPLANATIONS TO SOME OF THE MORE SPECULATIVE THEORIES ARE SIMPLY PERPETUATIONS OF THE DOMINANT HEIRARCHY.

My father just hit on my mother whilst preparing dinner. The awkwardness of the moment still resonates throughout the house like a hand bell’s ring. I was eating at the time, but had to immediately excuse myself from the table. After something like that, one’s appetite might be absent for the rest of your life.

Let’s hope Officer Norton isn’t in Rehoboth Beach, Del., this weekend…

I hate when people are like “Oh, it turns out Dickens was a terrible person!” or “Wow, FDR cheated on his wife? That’s not upstanding.”
Why do people like to assume that people our culture has idealized for one aspect of themselves are perfect? It’s annoying.
- Churchill was racist and really…
Pretty much in agreement with this observation of the standards we place on such famous figures. Which makes me wish that we could avoid doing this all together with public personalities, especially politicians.
